An Employment Permit is designed for foreign nationals to take up employment in Botswana. Employment Permits are issued based on the validity of the contract of employment and are issued for an initial period of up to two (2) years.

The Employment Permit can be extended for a period of up to five (5) years. Your family can accompany you, however, the accompanying dependents will also need to apply for their own visa applications with the Botswanan immigration authorities.
